It's almost Christmas!
Well, I can't believe 2009 is almost over. It's been a fast year and they'll probably keep flying by. Hannah's growing so fast that we can't believe it. Right now, she's 4 going on 13! We've talked to Santa a couple of times and she wants a camera this year. She also wants something "pretty" and she's mentioned a guitar. I kinda hope Santa doesn't bring the guitar - Eric already has enough of those! But we'll see... I'll try to post some pictures soon, but if you're on Facebook, look me up (Ann Thompson Yount). I post pictures more frequently there. (It's just easier.) More later...

November is flying by...
Hello all,
Well, Halloween's over and it's time for Christmas. The stores seem to have forgotten Thanksgiving. Oh well, all I know is we're busy! Hannah had a ball over the Halloween weekend. She went trick-or-treating 3 different times (mall, home, church). She was Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz a couple times, then she was Cinderella for church. We have LOTS of candy that we're very slowly working on. We'll probably have the same candy next Halloween. :) School is going good for Hannah. We have her parent/teacher conference in a couple of weeks so we'll get a better idea of where she is. She still loves it! I've posted some new pictures in her photo album, so check those out. October's almost over!
Well, so much for keeping my blog up. It's been so busy around here that I haven't had lots of time. How do people with more than one child do it? Oh well, I have posted quite a few new pictures (from August 2009!) in her picture album. Have a look at those and I'll try to be better at keeping up with posts. More later...

Hello!
It's been a busy summer and it's quickly coming to an end. Hannah finished her last summer camp today. She had lots of fun! We got home from our Missouri vacation last week and we're still catching up from that. We're heading to the beach next weekend for a few days so we're looking forward to that. School starts just after Labor Day for Hannah. Then it'll be time for Christmas! :) I've posted a couple more albums in the "picture album" - April and May. I know I'm a little behind, but I'm trying to catch up. More later...

Happy July!
Hello there! We're in the midst of the busiest July ever. Today was the last day of nature camp. Hannah starts Vacation Bible School in a couple of weeks. Then we have a beach trip coming up at the end of the month. Hope everyone else is having a great summer! More later...

Hello again!
I know it's been a long time since we've posted anything. We've been busy! Here's a little bit of what we've been doing: After school got out, we went to see Sesame Street (Elmo & friends) at the RBC Center. We went to Cape Hatteras for Memorial Day weekend. Hannah has finished a week of swim lessons and she's now in her first summer camp (Cooking Mama) at her school. Eric tried out for Jeopardy recently. They don't tell you if you pass, but he thinks he did OK. If he makes it on the show, it could be anytime in the next 18 (!) months or he may never get called. They have a huge pool of people to choose from so he has no idea if he'll ever get called to go out to LA. Here's hoping...We've got a busy couple of months ahead, too. Hannah has 2 more summer camps, another week of swim lessons, 2 more beach trips, vacation bible school and then it's time for school to start back. Wow! I've been unable to post any pictures in her photo album but hope to have that fixed very soon. More later...

It's May already!
2009 is flying by and Hannah's going to be out of school in less than a month. Wow! We've got a busy summer planned with a couple of beach trips, swim lessons, summer camp, etc. I'm home from my church mission trip to Mississippi. It was lots of fun, but hard work too. We helped a woman who has been living in a FEMA trailer since Katrina hit. She's a disabled veteran and gets around on a scooter mainly. They were coming to pull the FEMA trailer away today so I hope she was able to get into her home. When we left, they were waiting on a plumber to do the plumbing work in the house. Hannah had a great time with her Grandma and Grandpa last week. They had picnics, made cookies, went to a nature workshop, and just played a lot. We took Hannah to the art museum last night to walk around outside. They have outdoor exhibits too. Look for some more pictures in her picture album today or tomorrow. I'll also post the mission trip pictures in there. If you want to read a blog about the trip, go to http://www.wral.com/news/local/blog/4980598/. More later...

Hello!
It's been a busy week around here. I'm headed to Mississippi tomorrow morning on a mission trip with church. Eric's parents are here to help him and my mom out with Hannah. I'm sure fun will be had by all. I'll post some pictures when I get back. I've added March 2009 and Easter 2009 pictures in her "picture album". More later...

Hannah, the Princess
Hannah just got some new fancy shoes, rings, etc. from her friend, Kathy. She decided to model it all! We've had a busy few days this past week. She was on Spring Break but we still found things to do. She's been to 2 Easter Egg hunts already. She'll have one more on Easter Sunday. I'll post some Easter photos soon. More later...

Hannah and her dress-up shoes
Hannah has a pair of dress-up shoes that are way too small but she insists on wearing them anyway. She totters around in them and it is the funniest thing I have seen. Watch the video and you'll get an idea. Watching her walk around in them also makes me want to cry. She'll really be wearing "grown-up" shoes before we know it. More later...

Celebrity Dairy Farm
We went to the Celebrity Dairy Goat Farm in Siler City a couple of weeks ago. They make goat cheese and sell free-range chicken eggs. They also have a bed & breakfast inn with a restaurant. Hannah had a great time and it was a beautiful day. We got to see lots of goats, baby goats, chickens, a peacock, cats, and llamas! Once a month they have what they call an "open barn" and that's exactly what it is. You can walk anywhere you want in the barn, fields, etc. You just have to watch where you step. I've posted more pictures in the "picture album" so make sure you check those out. More later...

Dora and a Birthday Party!
We've had a busy few days since Hannah got over her sickness. Last Friday, we all went to see the Dora the Explorer show in downtown Raleigh at Memorial Auditorium. We all had lots of fun! During the first part of the show Hannah was acting very shy and we finally figured out that she thought the characters were speaking directly to her. She was ignoring the fact that there were lots of other parents and kids there. On Sunday, Hannah's school friend, Alexa, had a birthday party at a local kid's gym. Hannah had a blast! So much so that she didn't want to leave and broke down in tears when it was time to go. The girl does love to have fun! She has one more ballet class then it's on to swim lessons in March. She's a busy bee. More later...

Hannah's sick!
Well, Hannah has a cold. She's been under the weather a couple of days now. She even had to stay home from school today and she was not happy about that at all. Last night, Eric & I were watching TV downstairs when we heard a thud from upstairs. We went to find out what had happened and she'd fallen out of bed. She was still asleep on the floor. Eric picked her up and put her back to bed and she never woke up. Hopefully she'll feel better tomorrow. More later...

Walking at Lake Lynn
Hannah and I went for a walk this morning over at our old stomping grounds - Lake Lynn. We had not been in a really long time and we had accumulated lots of duck food (stale crackers, etc.). There were lots of hungry ducks and geese to feed but we didn't feed the seagulls that were hanging around. They were bigger pests than the geese. More later...

Riding the sled!
Hannah got to go on her first sled ride! She rode down with our neighbor, Ben (Sebastian & Anastasia's dad) and she loved it! By the way, there are a few more snow pictures in the picture album. More later...
SNOW!!
Well, it finally snowed here. It's been a long time since we had this much snow (4-5 inches) and Hannah had a good time in it. We went out about 9:30 am yesterday and played with a few of the neighbors. She was having fun until the snowballs started flying. She wasn't quite sure why people were trying to hit each other and she got quite upset when she got hit with one. Soon after, she had had enough so we went inside and watched the inauguration. She went back outside this morning and played a little more. It's still really cold here, but the sun is starting to melt the snow. More later...

The Chef!
Hannah went to a birthday party at Planet Child this past Sunday. It was a fun place with all kinds of "stores" and "adventures". There was a pirate ship, kitchen, grocery store, vet, dress-up room, safari, etc.! Hannah had a blast. Her favorites were the kitchen and the grocery store. More later...

The Diva!
Here's the latest picture of Hannah. She loves to play dress-up and yesterday she was sporting almost her entire dress-up wardrobe. She had the shoes, feather boa, crown, purse, wand, tu-tu, necklace and bracelet. The only thing missing were the fairy wings. You should hear her clomping around in those shoes! Anyway, we hope everyone had a nice holiday. We went to MO for Christmas and came back to NC the day after. For New Year's Eve, we went into downtown Raleigh for the 7:00 PM "Acorn Drop". It was cold! We still had a good time though. Now we've gotten back in the swing of things and we're ready for 2009! Some photos from December and the trip will be posted to the "Picture Album" within the next couple of days, so keep checking back. More later...
